Athletics play an important part of student life at Ridgewater College by providing exciting events for students, fans and boosters. Most practices and competitions are held on the Willmar campus.

Ridgewater College competes in the Minnesota Community College Conference (MCCC) and Region 13.

The Warriors and Lady Warriors have won the MCCC All-Sports Award 8 of the last 10 years.

Soccer a Huge Hit at Ridgewater!

After a promising 2006 year, the men's club soccer team has been accepted into the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference, making it a varsity sport. As a member of the conference, the Warriors soccer team will play at the NJCAA Div. 1 level! To build upon this popularity, the College has announced plans to add women's soccer as a club sport in the 2007 - 08 academic year. Intramurals
A variety of intramural sports are also offered on the Willmar and Hutchinson Campus. League events differ by campus and may include: touch football, basketball, bowling, volleyball, softball, tennis and golf.
