A college nurse is available on the Willmar campus near Registration and financial Aid offices. This office has information on wellness, nutrition, exercise, stress management, weight management, smoking cessation, and other areas of health.

This office can also provide first aid for minor injuries and illnesses. The college nurse may also provide referrals and assistance with making appointments with other health care professionals.

Immunization Records
Minnesota Statutes, Section 135A.14 requires that all students attending post secondary schools have immunization status that is current for measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria and tetanus. People who were born in 1956 or earlier and students who graduated from high school since 1997 are exempt. All other students will need to submit an immunization record that is complete and up-to-date. Sources for dates of immunization are high school, clinic, or military records. If you have problems understanding these records, please contact Health Services for assistance.

Insurance
There is an option to take out a 24-hour Delta Dental Insurance and/or student accident and health insurance plan at your own expense. Important: Ridgewater College does not carry insurance to cover medical costs of students who are injured while at school. The college nurse also handles all Workers' Compensation Insurance Claims. Any students injured while on work study duty would report to Health Services. A First Report of Injury would be filed as a Workers' Compensation Claim.
