Ridgewater College does offer child care services for the Hutchinson community. The center is operated by Beans Plus, Inc. of Mankato.

RWC does not offer child care services on the Willmar campus. Please call Kandiyohi County Family Services at (320) 231-6232 for a list of licensed providers in the area.

Educational Philosophy
In order to meet the needs of the developing child, an environment must be created that is nurturing, loving, caring, and responsive, in order for the child to develop to his/her greatest potential. By balancing the daily schedule with small group and individual activities, this will enable the child to grow in intellectual skills as well as emotional, social, and physical abilities. A child's "job" is play, and through play we allow him/her to invent and discover on his/her own. The role of all staff will be to provide positive role models, encourage and enrich experimental learning, and facilitate your child's individual learning style.

Admissions
No child will be denied care on basis of race, sex, religion, creed, national origin or source of payment. Children from the community, as well as children of Ridgewater students and staff, are greatly welcomed. Parents interested in enrolling their child may contact the center by phone or in person. After contact has been established, you will be given a parent handbook as well as a handbook of forms to be filled out by the parent and the child's source of health care. Immunization and health summary are required.

Beans Plus Child Care Center is located on the North end of Ridgewater College, at 2 Century Avenue SE. We think you'll agree that our facility offers a warm, creative environment for your child while you are in class or at work. Our business hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
