Admission Criteria
Fall semester start
- April 1 through June 1 – applications are accepted
- July 15 – applicant notification of acceptance, waitlist or deny status
- August 1 – notification deadline of the applicant to accept admission to the program
Applicants must
- Attend a Nursing Information Session
- Complete the general college application process and be accepted to Ridgewater College
- Be a high school graduate or GED recipient
- Receive an ACT score of 21 or higher in Reading & 22 or higher in Math or meet Accuplacer requirements
- All applicants are required to complete the TEAS test prior to application deadlines
- Complete NA1612 Nursing Assistant course and be current on the Nursing Assistant Registry
- Complete all semester 1 courses of the Practical Nursing curriculum plan with a minimum of a C grade
- PRNU 1617 Medical Terminology
- ENGL 1210 English Composition 1
- PSYC 1310 Introduction to Psychology
- BIOL 1080 Human Biology
- Complete and submit the Practical Nursing application and attach required documentation showing all criteria are met
