Orientation, Advising and Registration
- Liberal Arts and Technical students – If you are accepted for a liberal arts or technical program and are not a PSEO student, we offer an online orientation for your convenience. This allows you to complete the orientation process on your own schedule. Information on how to access online orientation will either be included with your acceptance letter or mailed separately closer to the start of the semester, all depending on your start date and date of application.
- PSEO students – Accepted PSEO students will complete an online PSEO orientation. Instructions to complete the orientation will be sent by mail. More information is available on the PSEO Applications page.
Advising and Registration
After you complete the online orientation your next step is advising and registration. Accuplacer testing* may be required prior to registration. We recommend that you schedule your advising session as early as possible to ensure that you get the classes that you want at the times that work best for you.
- Liberal Arts students – you will be asked to schedule a one-on-one appointment with an adviser. The appointment will take 45 minutes to an hour. During this time they will discuss your academic goals and help you plan out our class schedule at Ridgewater.
- Technical students – you will be asked to attend an advising session with faculty from your program. This is a great time to ask additional questions and learn more about your program. You may also get a chance to meet with other students in your program.
Our goal is for you to have everything you need for a successful beginning at Ridgewater College.
