Jehana Schwandt started at Ridgewater College in 2013 as an academic advisor/equity & inclusion specialist. Jehana’s pronouns are She/Her/Hers. She earned her bachelors of arts (BA) degree in Psychology from St. Cloud State University and her masters of science (MS)degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin – Stout. She credits her passion for advising, equity, & inclusion to her childhood upbringing and to her educational experiences as a first-generation college student. Jehana believes it is important to recognize her advisees as individuals with intersectional identities. She embraces difficult conversations to help her students make both short term and long-term goals, develop multiple plans for success, & embrace the wins and losses that are necessary experiences in order to achieve their dreams, goals, and potential. In addition to advising Jehana works in collaboration with our college diversity officer to develop community partnerships, provide diversity, equity, and inclusion training, and support the colleges diversity, equity, and inclusion strategic planning efforts.
